Gameness most important this weekend

With this being the final weekend of live racing, trainers are clearing out their barns, letting everything run. Which means it's more difficult to tell what horses are really ready to race and which ones are racing on a hope and a prayer. So what I look for is elements of gameness. Horses that haven't raced for awhile, even though their last race was a good one, are usually horses to ignore--unless there's an accompanying workout.

Three horses from Friday's program fit my criteria:
1. Momma Two Shoes in race 3
2. Anotation in race 6
3. Mining Town in race 7

Especially important to you will the winner of race 6 because that's the winner you will need to complete your Horses & Horsepower ballot that will get you another qualifying entry to win the car.

Only 731 entries have qualified during the entire season which means the last three days of racing, if you can win all three H & H games, can STILL give you nine chances to win it (providing you've visited Winnipeg Dodge Chrysler Jeep Ram--which you can still do so before 6 p.m. today)

Speaking of the car, even if you have a single chance at winning the car, make sure you come close to the Winners' Circle Sunday when the finalists' names are being drawn from the drum--because those who get to the Winners' Circle first will get first opportunity to chose the envelope they want from the board. Each envelope contains the name of horse in the final race--which is the TENTH race--in which 11 horses are entered. Of course, if the horse you get wins the race, you win the car.

With beautiful, hot weather forecast, it should be an exciting climax to the race season.
