the Cashier's Cage in the VLT lounge). Open
from 9 a.m. to 2 a.m. Generally, race programs
are available the day prior to the races,
by 4 p.m. But sometimes they are available sooner.
To determine the status of programs and the Daily
Racing Form, phone 885-3330, then press #1 and
press #3 for recorded updates on availability.
Programs cost $2 (incl tax) for each thoroughbred
track. Harness programs cost $3 (incl tax) but
have more than one race track in them. On live
race days, you may also purchase programs as you
enter the Downs. NOTE: Assiniboia Downs
offers what it considers to be the best thoroughbred
programs available, which show bold-face pace
and speed figures which enable the bettor
to determine race contenders quickly and easily.
It also sells the Daily Racing Form.
At off-track betting locations. The Downs
delivers programs and Daily Racing Forms to these
locations the evening prior to the races running.
