The best horses from the best race tracks in the world--Santa Anita, Sarotoga, Churchill Downs, Gulfstream--are featured daily on giant screens in the Race Book at the Downs. But, still, nothing gets the heart pounding as much as watching and cheering for your horses live, up close, in fresh prairie air.

Live racing goes Friday and Saturday night at 7 p.m. and Sunday and holidays at 1 p.m. Some Tuesday nights are added in July. View the 2008 racing calendar here.

You certainly can't beat the price. Parking and admission into the grandstand are free and there are all kinds of fun contests throughout the summer where you have chances for prizes.
