How to play: Pick horses you think will finish 1st, 2nd or 3rd in races 3, 4 & 5.
HOW THE CONTEST WORKS:
Someone MUST win $50,000
What will be the total number of finalists? Two finalists will be determined on each day of the 70-day live race meet, which means 140 finalists will have a chance to win the $50,000.
How will the ultimate $50,000 winner be determined? Before the final race on the final day, a draw will be made so that each horse in the race is matched with a finalist. The finalist whose horse wins will be awarded the $50,000 cash. An independent auditing firm will conduct the critical draws on the final day.
How will the two finalists be determined each live race day? (1) One finalist will be the contest entrant whose show parlay picks would have produced the highest winnings, as calculated by Assiniboia staff. (Assiniboia staff will compute how much a mythical $10 would have grown had it been bet to show in Race 3 and allowed to ride on the next two races.) In the event of a tie, there will be a draw from among the winning show parlayers to determine the finalist on that particular day. (2) The other finalist for $50,000 on each live race day will be drawn from all of the remaining entries submitted that day.
Additional chances to win the prize: Contest entrants who win "show parlay challenge" more than once will accumulate additional chances to have their name drawn on the final day. For example, if someone wins "show parlay challenge" three times during the race meet, that person will have three entries in the draw drum to be matched wtih a horse. If a finalist's name is drawn more than once, that person will have the benefit of being matched with more than one horse.
