RULES:
1. PREDICT CANADIAN MEDALS: Predict (a) the number of gold, (b) the number of silver and (c) the number of bronze medals Canada will win in the 2010 Winter Games in Vancouver from Feb. 12 - Feb. 28. (At the last Winter Games in Turin, Italy, in 2006 Canada earned seven gold, 10 silver and seven bronze.)
2. PREDICT U.S. TOTAL: Also, predict the total number of medals the U.S. will win. This number will be used as a tie-breaker.

3. CONTEST DEADLINE: Email predictions by midnight Thursday, Feb. 11.
4. ONE ENTRY ONLY: Only one entry per person please. Submitting more than one entry will result in disqualification.
5. CONTEST OPEN TO CANADIANS: This contest is open to Canadian residents except for employees of the Manitoba Jockey Club and their immediate families.
6. TIE-BREAKER: The top prize money of $500 will be awarded at the end of the Winter Games to the person with the correct answer. In the event of a tie, the person who comes closest to predicting the correct TOTAL number of U.S. Olympic medals (without going over) will be awarded the prize. If there is still a tie, the money will be split among the winners.

BONUS DRAW #1: Every time Canada scores a medal--whether it's gold, silver or bronze--one entry will be drawn from all the above entries. That contest entrant wins $50 and an Olympic souvenir. Winner must be present in the Clubhouse to win the prize. The draw will take place right after the results of an Olympic competition are official. If the result is made official after the Race Book closes (about midnight), the draw will be made at noon the next day.

BONUS DRAW #2: ENTER EACH DAY! This is a draw from people who simply filled out an entry when they entered the Clubhouse THE DAY OF THE DRAW. So if you come to the Downs any day during the Winter Games (Feb. 12 to 28) to watch the Olympics on giant flat screens, to play the races, to enjoy the casino-style VLT action or to dine, you'll have a chance to win $50 cash and a souvenir! In fact, the more medals Canada wins in one day, the more chances you'll have to win cash and an Olympic souvenir!

HOURS OF OPERATION: 9 a.m. to 2 a.m. every day. The Downs is open every day from 9 a.m. to 2 a.m., with casino-style VLT action and dining throughout that time. Las Vegas-style racing takes place from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. on giant flat-screen TVs with local players being able to bet into (and to share) giant pools in the U.S. Breakfast is served, there are $5.99 and $7.99 meal specials all day (fantastic soups!) and on Thursday night, a $14.95 all-you-can-eat Prime Rib buffet is served.
