System.
Now you can enjoy all the excitement of horse racing
from Assiniboia Downs right in your home and at
several off-track Teletheatre betting facilities
in Winnipeg.
As a TAB account holder, you can call in your bets
on a toll-free TAB line from anywhere in Canada. Your personal TAB account
will have its own account number and Personal Identification
Number (PIN #). Deposits and withdrawals to your
account may be made in person or by mail. Or for
your convenience, you may register your VISA or
MasterCard at our General Office, and then use the

Who
Can Open a TAB Account?
If you are 18 years of age or older and reside in
Manitoba, you may open a TAB
account. Applications forms are available by emailing
Assinboia Downs at info@assiniboiadowns.com
or call us at 204.885.3330. Once
the form is completed, bring your application along
with identification and proof of age to our general
office and your TAB account will be opened with
a minimum deposit of $50.00.
Deposits of cash, bank drafts and money orders will
be credited immediately to your account. Deposits
made by cheque or certified cheque will not be credited
until 10 days following receipt of the cheque. Written
statements of accounts will be provided only upon
request. Any claims regarding an incorrect statement
of account should be made within 14 days of the
statement.
When Can Bets Be
Made?
Bets may be made by telephone each racing day as
early as 30 minutes prior to post time of the first
race up until post time of the last race of the
day. You are urged to place bets as early as possible.
It takes longer to process a bet by telephone and
there is a greater possibility of being “shut-out”.
Please ask for selections by program number, if
possible.
How Are Bets Placed?
When you call to place a bet, you will be asked
for your TAB Account number, the operator will enter
your account number and ask for your PIN #. If correctly
provided, you will be given your account balance
and you will then be able to wager up to the amount
of your account balance.
When placing a wager, please specify the Racetrack
as well as the Race Number. The operator will repeat
your wager and wait for your confirmation that the
wager is correct. If a discrepancy arises as to
any portion of the accepted wager, the tape recording
of the bet transaction, re-stated by the operator
and acknowledged by the caller, will be considered
the actual bet.
