Hi again, folks, on the first night of Tuesday live racing!

Yes, it's the first of four Tuesday nights of racing--post time 7 p.m.--and here's what's happening:

1.  My "Guess the Handle" contest continues but this week predict the TOTAL HANDLE FOR TUESDAY AND WEDNESDAY!   Email your prediction by 6:00 p.m. tonight (Tuesday) to theinsider@assiniboiadowns.com.  Both are eight-race cards.  Last week's handle for a nine-race card on Wednesday was $221,000.  Prize: $50, doubled to $100 if you're at the track Wednesday when the total is announced.  To win, you must be closest to the correct amount and within $1,000 without going over.
2.  New extra-value wager:  For each $100 you bet to win or place on a horse tonight, you'll automatically receive $105 in bets.  On-track only.  Tuesdays only.
3.  New giveaway:  Get into a draw for a backyard barbeque ensemble giveaway worth about $2,000 which will be given away on the final Tuesday of live racing.
4.  Toonie Tuesday:   Toonie specials on concession food and race programs. Also, happy hour bar prices prevail all night.
5.  The Triple Q Challenge contest continues.  The $750 jackpot was won on Saturday, so it starts again at $100.  (See who won in Thursday's Insider.)
6.  Pigskin 'n' Ponies Pick 4 continues:  Predict the winners of tonight's two football games and the winners of races 5 and 8 at the track.  Enter free on-track.  Prize: $200.  Last Wednesday's Pigskin 'n' Ponies Pick 4 was won by four entrants who split the $200 prize.  See who they were in Thursday's Insider.

Then live racing will continue tomorrow (Wednesday) with the usual Wednesday round-up of deliciousness and fun:  Ribs 'n' wings starting at $5 and happy hour bar prices, the InstaFrame Fantastic Fan draw, the Triple Q Challenge and the Memory Game.

Also, Wednesday, I have a little piece of interesting info to pass on to those of you who attend my "Betting Secrets" presentation a half hour before racing begins.  Shh!

So, it's four fat days of racing action this week--Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday--with unique opportunities and contests each day.  Enjoy them all!  Phone 885-3330 to reserve a table in the Terrace Dining Room for the popular all-you-can-eat Prime Rib buffet while you watch the races.  I'll be back Thursday with The Insider to tell you about my "love at first sight" experience with a particular horse.  Will you be smitten, too?
