Hello again, on the eve of "triple feature" Wednesday!
 
Triple feature?  Yup, there's exceptional excitement at three different tracks starting at noon.  The lowdown in a sec.
 
Firstly, since torrential rain and dangerous lightning wiped out last Tuesday's card of live racing, my final "Guess the Handle" contest has been carried over to run on tomorrow's card.   Be the closest in predicting the handle tomorrow night (within $1,000 without going over) and you'll receive $200 cash plus an additional $50 if you're present during the announcement after the races.  Email your entries BY 2 PM TOMORROW (WEDNESDAY) to theinsider@assiniboiadowns.com.
 
Clues:  Eight race card. Five 10-horse fields. Last Wednesday's eight-race handle with lighter fields was $179,000.
 
Okay, that's just the beginning of the fun.  Here are three other reasons to be pumped about tomorrow:
 
1.  FAT CARRYOVER AT BELMONT:  Belmont races, which begin at noon, have a $50,000 carryover in the pick-6 which begins on Race 4.  If Eddie O can win a big one, why not you?
 
 

Del Mar meet begins tomorrow at 4 p.m. 

2.  OPENING DAY AT DEL MAR:  The place where the surf meets the turf and Hollywood starlets come out to play opens its popular meet at San Diego, California.  Post time is 4 p.m.--JUST WHEN RIBS 'N' WINGS SPECIALS AND HAPPY HOUR KICK IN!
 
FREE PROGRAMS:  Since it's opening day at Del Mar, go to the VLT cage in the Clubhouse and ask for a Del Mar program "on the house."  Say you saw the offer in today's Insider update.  And, yes, it will be okay if you turn the pages with fingers sticky with barbeque rib and chicken wing drippings.
 
3.  LIVE RACING AT 7:00 FEATURES MARATHON SERIES:  If you like long races, tomorrow's card is a must-see.  Two races, part of a marathon series, go a gruelling 1 1/4 miles, the longest so far this meet.  Also, big competitive 10-horse fields will be featured in five of the eight races on the card.
 
Also, of course, $5.99 Ribs 'n' Wings continues as does the Triple Q Challenge game for cash prizes and the InstaFrame Fantastic Fan Sweepstakes where fans will be drawn from Triple Q entries and matched with horses in the fifth race for cash or Winners' Circle perks.
