MISS MISSILE MAKES EVERY POLE A WINNING ONE IN OAKS

MISS MISSILE MAKES EVERY POLE A WINNING ONE IN OAKS

With a lack of competing speed, American import Miss Missile delivered her expected performance, a convincing wire to wire win in the $ 50,000 Assiniboia Oaks for three year old fillies. The Kentucky bred daughter of Golden Missile scored her third stakes win in a row after previously having won the $ 50,000 Chantilly Stakes and the $ 30,000 Canada Day.

"Getting the half in 49.1...I couldn't believe it," commented winning jockey Rohan Singh.  "I felt it was over at that point."

When asked about future plans for the impressive filly, her trainer, Charles Smith, indicated "We may come back and challenge Polynesian Kitty in the fall."  Those remarks referenced a possible rematch with the current top older filly and mare on the grounds.

Miss Missile returned $ 2.70 to win on a $ 2.00 wager and covered the mile distance of the race in 139.1
